On July 10, 2010 around 2:14 a.m. officers with Henderson Police Department responded to the 200 block of Pearl Street in Henderson, North Carolina in reference to a person that was shot.
Upon the arrival of officers, the victim, Dante Champion, 19, was found dead in the roadway near Lone Street.

A second victim, a sixteen year-old male, was found shot in his arm at another location and was transported by EMS to a local hospital.
An investigation is continuing by members of the Henderson Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
