The Safe Kids Henderson-Vance Coalition is a non-profit organization that promotes the safety of kids by providing the tools and education necessary to teach our community the importance of child safety.
We depend on the support of many volunteers from different agencies and businesses. Law enforcement officers, firefighters, paramedics, educators, health and safety experts, parents, and businesses are just a few of the experts that help tailor and implement public education programs and child passenger safety seat check points.
We are hosting a Spaghetti Dinner for $6 a ticket on Monday, August 9, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Dabney Drive Restaurant in an effort to raise funds for the organization. Money raised will help with the purchase of car seats, bicycle helmets, educational pamphlets, car seat training sessions, and much more.
We are asking for a donation of $40 along with your business card which will be printed on a placemat and given out at the dinner. Placemats will also be given to those who purchase a ticket but want take out. We are expecting a minimum of 500 tickets to be sold, not including walk-ins.
