To the editor: More direction needed

After reading the flier “Your New Weekly Curbside Trash Service & Every Other Week Curbside Recycling Service Guidelines”, there are a few things that are not clear to me and maybe not to you, either:

– How do you know which week to recycle, since everyone has to have recycling out during the week of August 2?

– Since aluminum cans and plastic bottles must be placed in your recycling cart only, will garbage be picked up if no recycling is done, since cans and plastic cannot be put in landfill?

– Can we still recycle cardboard?

– Can we recycle cereal boxes, cracker boxes, etc.?

– Can we recycle laundry detergent plastic containers?

– If you do not pay your water bill, will the container be removed?

– If a house is unoccupied at present, but becomes occupied, where do you get a container?

– Will the city dispose of old trash cans if left at curbside?
