Washington, D.C. -— U.S. Rep. Bob Etheridge (D-Lillington) released the following statement today on the Senate passage of an emergency bill to aid states:
“Today’s Senate vote is good news for North Carolina’s children. This needed funding will save the jobs of more than 400 teachers in the Second Congressional District and help plug the hole in the state’s budget for Medicaid health services for people struggling in this tough economy. I look forward to voting next week to send this package to the President’s desk for his signature and into law.”
