HPD arrests Jatavious Reid for burglary…again


On Sunday August 15, 2010 around 12:50 a.m. officers with the Henderson Police Department responded to a breaking and entering in progress at 217 S. Bullock Street in Henderson, North Carolina.

Prior to the police officers arrival, the suspect fled on foot. However, the responding officers observed the suspect in the area.

After a foot pursuit, the suspect was apprehended. Jatavious Reid was arrest and charged with felony breaking and entering, and resisting, delaying, obstructing an officer. Reid received a $41,000 secured bond. He remains in the Vance County Jail pending a court date of September 20, 2010.

Reid was also served an outstanding warrant for breaking and entering from Granville County. He received a $20,000 secured bond for that charge.

Reid had been released from jail on bond for four additional breaking and entering charges that have occurred in the City of Henderson. Reid was charged with four counts of breaking and entering and four counts of felony larceny for the breaking and entering into 1038 Shirley Drive on December 1, 2009, the breaking and entering into 201 Raines Drive on December 9, 2009, the breaking and entering into 111 S. Pinkston Street on January 13, 2010, and the breaking and entering into 101 Carolyn Court on January 13, 2010.
