The Art Department at Southern Vance High School, under the direction of Glenn Garrison, is hosting a fund raising golf tournament at Kerr Lake Country Club on Friday, October 29, 2010.
Participants in the tournament and sponsors are being sought.
Costs per golfer are $35 if prepaid by October 19 and $40 per participant on the day of the event. The tournament will follow a Superball format with par being the highest score recorded. Plans also include prizes, cold drinks and snacks for golf participants.
Garrison and other organizers are seeking businesses to sponsor a golf hole of their choice. Each sponsored hole will have two advertisements promoting the sponsoring business. The advertisements will be framed and can be created by Southern Vance art students if so desired. Sponsorship costs are $100 for full sponsorship; $50 for a sponsorship and a donated gift item as a prize on the sponsored hole; and a $20 cash donation will provide advertising on the leader board.
All proceeds will be used to purchase needed supplies for art students and the Art Club at Southern Vance High School.
