We went to yesterday’s work session of the Henderson City Council expecting fireworks; however, the net effect was akin to watching a small child bang a rock against a roll of caps. If you don’t believe me, watch the video, if you dare.
While we haven’t quite reached a level of cynicism that would prefer conflict to actual content in the news, we do recognize that a certain amount of dissent is necessary to generate the compromise that drives our democratically-elected representative form of government forward.
And that’s the kind of news we want to report: our government driving forward.
