Two arrested under larceny from a merchant law
On January 22, 2011, officers with the Henderson Police Department Patrol Division arrested and charged Rickyshia Hargrove, 20, of 693 Boddie Street Henderson with felony removal of an anti-theft device and simple assault.
Veteran calls Confederate monument “inappropriate”
Vietnam veteran James Mason told the Henderson City Council during Monday evening’s meeting that he thinks the two-story monument to Confederate dead on Young Street in front of the County Administration Building is inappropriate in what he termed a “time of divisiveness”.

On January 22, 2011 around 11:36 p.m. members of the Henderson Police Department Patrol Division arrested and charged Roy Marshall Williams, 33, of 349 Stewart Farm Road in Henderson, North Carolina with misdemeanor breaking and entering and property damage.

After meeting in closed session for approximately one hour on an economic development matter, the Henderson City Council approved a grant application for $33,000 for a business identified only as “EDP: 11–1”.

Suspect fell asleep in Bojangles bathroom On January 22, 2011, members of the Henderson Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested and charged Rufus Thomas Watkins, 44,, of 204 Howard Drive in Oxford, North Carolina with carrying a concealed weapon and felony possession of a firearm by felon.
