HPD narcotics unit arrests
On February 15, 2011, members of the Henderson Police Department’s Narcotics/Vice Unit arrested Kirk Swain, 45, of 110 Ramsey Street in Henderson at the corner of Rowland Street and Southhall Street.

Project RIDE needs opinions on drinking & driving
Project R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) is sponsoring a brief survey to get your opinions in an effort to reduce drunk driving. Project R.I.D.E. is composed of Franklin and Vance County citizens who have been working on ways to lower the number of incidents of driving while impaired. Clean-Up Henderson now official gov’t committee
The Henderson City Council voted unanimously to amend city code to allow for the incorporation of the Clean Up Henderson committee into the city’s governing structure as an official city committee.

The Vance County Board of Commissioners’ Planning & Environmental Committee will be meeting Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. to discuss the US 1 sewer project.
