The rumor that I was admitted to the Duke University Medical Center earlier this week is true. On Monday afternoon I went to the emergency room at Maria Parham Medical Center on the advice of my family doctor, and from there I was shipped to Duke for various cardiac tests. Luckily, those tests all came out negative for a heart attack, heart damage, and coronary artery disease. I was was sent home yesterday with a new prescription that will hopefully prevent further bouts of angina and allow me to go on with my life.
For those of you who called or wrote to wish me well, I thank you on behalf of my family and myself.
Home in Henderson will gradually return to its normal publishing schedule as I recuperate. Until then, here’s your open line.
