Standard & Poor’s on Monday downgraded the outlook for the United States to negative, saying it believes there’s a risk U.S. policymakers may not reach agreement on how to address the country’s long-term fiscal pressures. I’m getting the feeling there is no long term plan for our countries monetary issues.

Use Bowles Simpson plan and have a up or down vote on it in Congress then we will see how serious our politicians are on solving the problem.

too many don’t take the debt/deficit seriously..
they SAY they do…but they don’t seem to want to cut anything for fear they’ll get voted out…
so instead of getting serious, they’re skewing the facts and pointing the finger.
blame game needs to stop.
seems to me having a more efficient system for Medicare/Medicaid for catching fraudulent payouts could save a lot of money.
I think I heard that 125 billion was wasted in erroneous pay outs in 2010 alone.
some departments and agencies, many that are redundant, could be eliminated or greatly reduced.
