Section Of N.C. 96 Being Closed In Granville County

SECTION OF N.C. 96 BEING CLOSED IN GRANVILLE COUNTY FOR REALIGNMENT PROJECT RALEIGH — The N.C. Department of Transportation will be closing a section of N.C. 96 in Granville County for the next few weeks, starting at 8 a.m. on July 5. The closure is so crews can realign a section of the highway just south of N.C. 56, east of Creedmor. The project is expected to be finished by July 30.

A signed detour will be in place, directing motorists going north on N.C. 96 to turn right onto Suitts Store Road, then left on N.C. 56 to get back to N.C. 96. Southbound motorists can turn left on N.C. 56 and then right on Suitts Store Road to get around the construction site.
