In this weeks Weekly Address: Passing the American Jobs Act: President Obama discusses the need for Congress to pass the American Jobs Act to put more people back to work, and more money back in the pockets of people who are working.
Still continuing to tout his American Jobs Act, the White House has realeased state specific documents regarding the benefits. North Carolina’s can be found here.
We had planned to attend the High Flight 2011 air show event Saturday, but the event was canceled for poor weather conditions. Not only rain can cancel an airshow, but if it’s too cloudy, there’s not much to see from the ground. So although it didn’t pour down rain all day, the drizzle and low clouds would have made for a gloomy day.

Can anyone provide a list of stew sales coming up in the area? Locally made stew from our area church’s and VFD’s is something I like to purchase. It’s a great deal too, those groups make some money and I get to kick back with a hot bowl of stew on these upcoming cold nights!
First United Methodist Church down town has one in the next few weeks Contact Wayne Grey at Dvance printers for tickets. It was really good last year.

ziggy, I read with great sadness that the creator of your nom de plume has moved on to another assignment. Sadly, you did not copy Mr. Wilson’s wit and optimism of his creation, when taking the name in lower case.
My “nom de plume” is from a different source entirely.
However…a Seinfeld episode did refer to a Wilson comic, plagerized by Elaine, that was “A real Ziggy”.
