Bennet Perry Archaeology Day


There will be a very unique public event in Henderson NC on September 24, 2011- the first Bennett Perry Archaeology Day. Collectors of regional Indian artifacts will be gathering to show their collections, and a lecture will be offered by WCU professor Dr. Anne Rogers. The public is encouraged to attend and to bring any artifacts they have for identification. One of the best collections of NC relics will be on display by Warner Williams of Asheboro, along with many other collections. Mr. Williams has been featured in several TV and news articles over the years.

Free admission, free display tables by reservation, up to 100 tables in the Gallery! Warner Williams of Asheboro will be displaying his ENTIRE NC Collection! Speaker will be Dr. Anne Rogers of Western Carolina University on the topic “Native Americans and Their Use of the Environment” Artifact identification and Prizes will be awarded to displayers.  Six foot long tables available free for displayers of ancient Native American artifacts. ALL North Carolina and Virginia artifact collectors are invited.
