VGCC offers Leadership seminar for supervisors

Vance-Granville Community College’s Small Business Center will offer a free seminar, entitled “Leadership Skills for Managers and Supervisors,” from 9 a.m. until noon on Tuesday, April 17 in room 7107 of Building 7 on the college’s Main Campus in Vance County.

This seminar can help existing, newly-promoted or first-time managers and supervisors learn leadership skills, build self-confidence and be more productive with less stress. Participants will learn the differences between leadership and management, and how to supervise friends and peers, as well as employees of different age and experience levels.

John Formica, a Charlotte-based consultant, will lead the three-hour seminar and offer simple ways for business leaders to create a positive and motivating environment for their personnel.

Space is limited for this free seminar. To reserve a seat, pre-register by calling the Small Business Center at (252) 738-3321 or 738-3240.
