Frankenfest, Halloween Celebration in Downtown Franklinton Saturday October 27th, 2012

Frankenfest on Main is a community event first held in uptown Franklinton in October, 2007. The purpose behind the event was two-fold. The Franklinton Uptown Revitalization Committee (URC), in an effort to bring the town’s citizens back to the historic downtown area, wanted to create an event that would hold something for everyone, of all ages and interests.

To that end, members of the URC Promotions Committee solicited crafters, professional vendors, food salespeople, churches and charitable organizations to rent a 10×10 space to share items with the community. In the first year, we had over 600 visitors and over 50 vendors. A number of Franklin County public service agencies participated, as did many civic organizations in the area.

Last year we had nearly 2,500 visitors and nearly 100 vendors. We continue to grow and work to become better each year!
