Intruder, Solomon Williams, Shot During Breaking and Entering


On January 25, 2013 around 2:28 PM officers with the Henderson Police Department responded to 801 Wakefield Ave Ext. Henderson, NC in reference to a breaking and entering in progress in which the suspect was shot. Upon arrival, officers located Solomon Williams, 26, of 602 E. Winder Street, Henderson with a gunshot wound. The person, who confronted and shot the suspect, Solomon Williams, was a 73 year-old male. Another suspect fled on foot into a wooded area and was unable to be located at this time.

Solomon Williams was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

On January 24, 2013 Solomon Williams was charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, felony larceny of motor vehicle parts, possession of stolen goods, and obtaining property by false pretenses in relation to a larceny that occurred on January 23, 2013 at 230 E. Winder Street, Henderson. Upon release from medical care these warrants will be served.

There have been prior breaking and entering incidents at 801 Wakefield Ave Ext. 

Investigation is ongoing and will be reviewed with the district attorney’s office prior to any charges.
