Vance County Schools Career And Technical Education Department To Host Business Roundtable (POSTPONED)


Attention:  Update February 5th, 2013:  The Business Roundtable that was scheduled for this Thursday, February 7, has been postponed to a later time. We will let you know when that is re-scheduled.

The Vance County Schools Career and Technical Education Department is hosting the February Chamber of Commerce Business Roundtable.  The informative session, which will focus on the Students@Work Initiative, will be facilitated by Willa Clark, Career and Technical Education Director.

The session will be held beginning at noon on February 7 in the Henderson-Vance Chamber of Commerce conference room, located at 414 S. Garnett Street.

The Students @Work Project is a state initiative designed to expose middle school students to careers and businesses in the local area. The major goal of the project is to help middle school students see the career opportunities that exist.

Detailed information about this exciting and very important program for our area young people will be presented at the Business Roundtable session.

The cost of the session is $7.00, which includes a box lunch. Seating is limited, so you will want to contact the Chamber office at 252-438-8414 right-away to reserve your seat.
