Information Sessions Scheduled at Vance County High Schools


Special events to offer valuable information to rising ninth graders and their parents and students now in grades 9-11 and their parents will be held at both Northern Vance and Southern Vance high schools beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 21.

At both schools beginning at 6 p.m., current eighth graders who will be attending high school in the ninth grade for the upcoming school year will be provided with information about registering for classes for the 2013-2014 school year. Eighth-grade students now attending Eaton-Johnson Middle School should attend the session at Northern Vance, and eighth graders now at Henderson Middle School should attend the session at Southern Vance.

The sessions will be held in the schools’ cafeterias and gymnasiums.

At approximately 6:30 p.m. at each school, teachers in all subject areas will be on hand during a Curriculum Fair to discuss coursework with eighth-grade students and their parents and to answer any questions. Also beginning at 6:30 p.m., students currently in grades 9-11 and their parents can attend registration information sessions for the upcoming school year.

From 7 to 8 p.m. at both schools, a Curriculum Fair will be held for all students currently in grades 9-11. Teachers for all subject areas and courses will be on hand to offer students and parents information.
