Public Worries on Latest Henderson Crime


Our contacts are lighting up with concerns from area residents on the recent string in crime in Vance County.  We have not yet received any notice from the police department or sheriffs office to publish.  As soon as we do, it will be put up here, but for now we have nothing special you haven’t already heard. 

WRAL has an article Carjackings, rapes have Henderson on edge of what has been released so far if you haven’t heard from your local circles.

Social media is abuzz with questions from residents seeking information.  The Henderson Police Department Facebook page has numerous inquiries, but without a response yet.

Interest is high for gun purchases, and concealed carry permits.  The organization Personal Safety NC has a ladies only concealed carry training class coming up March 23rd at the Norlina Volunteer Fire Department.  Cost: $60 if paid in advance – $70 if paying the day of the course **Lunch will provided at no extra cost!**  Seats are still available Register online at www.PersonalSafetyNC.com

After passing the class, you can then apply at your local sheriff’s office for the permit.
