N.C.-filmed Norman Rockwell’s Shuffleton’s Barbershop debuts this Saturday


Norman Rockwell’s Shuffleton’s Barbershop is set to make its debut this Saturday, June 1, at 9 pm on the Hallmark Movie Channel. The made-for-television feature filmed in the Charlotte area. It’s estimated to have had a direct in-state spend of approximately $2 million while providing more than 250 job opportunities, including 85 well-paying positions for the state’s highly skilled film professionals. The movie stars Danny Glover, Austin Stowell and Kayla Ewell.

The production, which was recruited to the state by the N.C. Film Office, spent a total of approximately 100 days in-state with principle photography lasting about a month (March) and taking place in Belmont, Charlotte and other surrounding areas. This is the fourth Hallmark feature to film in North Carolina in the past three years.
