Vance-Granville Community College will offer a two-hour class in which participants will learn techniques for crafting elegant handmade jewelry.

The “Wire-Wrapped Jewelry” class is scheduled for Saturday, June 22 from 10 a.m. until noon on the college’s Main Campus in Vance County.

During this class, instructor Alison Beal of Wake Forest will lead participants through the process of making a total of four items: three different pairs of wire-wrapped earrings and a wire-wrapped briolette necklace. As this is a so-called “make it, take it” class, participants will leave with unique, completed pieces of jewelry to keep or to give as gifts, as well as skills that they can use later.

The cost per person, including all materials and fees, is $25.

Registration in advance is required. For more information, contact Theresa Somerville at (252) 738-3427 or SomervilleT@vgcc.edu.
