Triangle North Healthcare Foundation’s second annual Golf Tournament will be held Tuesday, September 17 at Henderson Country Club, beginning at 12 noon. Maria Parham Medical Center is the title sponsor for the event, which will benefit The Boys and Girls Club of Central North Carolina Healthy Lifestyle program.
Foundation Executive Director Val Short hopes the tournament will be even more successful than last year. “We are continuing the same tournament traditions that Maria Parham has provided in years past, but with a different twist— we have selected a partner to be the beneficiary of the tournament,” said Short. All proceeds from the event will go to the local Boys and Girls club. “The funds that are raised through this tournament will help continue and expand the Boys and Girls Club’s successful obesity prevention and healthy lifestyles programs,” she added. Last year, the tournament raised $9,000 for ACTS, a local organization that provides food for those in need.
Registration is now open for golfers and sponsors. Forms are available at Henderson County Club, and the Henderson Vance Chamber of Commerce, and on the Foundation’s website, www.tnhfoundation.org .
