PESTICIDE DISPOSAL DAY
November 14, 10 am to 2 pm, Warren County (location TBA).
NEW PEAK SEASON SOIL TESTING FEE
The NCDA&CS will charge $4/sample for samples received December through March. Get your samples in to the Warren or Vance Extension Center by 11/26 and we will deliver them for you so you can avoid the fee.

FORESTRY COST-SHARE UPDATE, SPONSORED BY WARREN COUNTY FARM BUREAU
Do you have a woodlot on your farm? Did you realize that there are several government programs that can help you improve your forest resources? Come to a meeting on September 26, 6 pm at the Warren County Extension Center to learn more. We will have program updates from the NC Forest Service, USDA Farm Service Agency, Natural Resources Conservation Service, and NC Wildlife Resources Commission. A meal will be served, sponsored by the Warren County Farm Bureau. Registration is required (252-257-3640 or paul_mckenzie@ncsu.edu).
LAST CHANCE FOR PRIVATE APPLICATOR RECERTIFICATION
Does your Private Applicator pesticide license expire this year? If so, you have until Sept 30 to get your credits (2 hours X and 2 hours V). Call for details about last minute opportunities to get your credits.
