There were 18 members of the Class of 2014 at Northern Vance High School who were honored at the North Carolina Scholars dinner and recognition event on May 20, for being academic leaders in their graduating class.
The event was sponsored by the Henderson Rotary Club and was held at the Henderson Country Club in Henderson.
Those students recognized included, front row from left, Victoria Jackson, Kayla Hawkins, Whitney Johnson, Tykayla Martin, Amber Boyd and Kayla Royster. On the second row, from left, are James Hawkins, Angelica Hanks, Emily Hilliard and Me’Leeah Robinson. On the back row, from left, are Austin Wells, Thomas Grissom, Dwayne Jefferson, Timothy Daye and Leah Spinner. Not available for the photo were Arnold Bullock, Luke Trull and Ashley Williams.
