The nation’s first licensed radio station began broadcasting in Detroit on this date in 1920 — station 8MK, now operating as WWJ. The station was owned by the Detroit News, and for some convoluted reasons, the station operated with an amateur license, which in 1922 was changed to commercial. The first station to receive a commercial license was KDKA in Pittsburgh, which began broadcasting in October of 1920. From these rudimentary early broadcasts, the new medium grew rapidly. In 1922, there were 30 radio stations, but by the following year, there were 556. Now, there are more than 15,400 radio stations across the U.S. You can find more facts about America from the U.S. Census Bureau, online at www.census.gov.

That white police officer should be hung from the highest tree for killing a young innocent Black man.
Let the the Police officer have his day in court, the news media is not a judge nor a jury.
It’s people like you, Jack Johnson, who are a prime example of the chaos going on in Ferguson right now. You don’t care about the truth, you only care about your definition and opinion of justice. Let the evidence point to the guilty party. If the officer is guilty, I will tie the knot on the neuse to be used. But it could be the dead young man who is the guilty party here. There is no need for slanderous death wishes against people who nobody knows is guilty yet or not.
You are obviously racists. Too many times the Black man has suffered from the white police system. As the great Reverend Al Sharpton says, Justice will come fast and furiously.
Mr. Johnson, Justice wears a blindfold for a reason. She is blind so as not to have an attitude of any kind against any race. We are not racists for following the “laws of our land”. Let justice prevail not attitude.

I saw this today … I certainly hope it’s okay to post
That is one of those white brothers like ben carsen who are traitors to the cause. The white cop should hang.
Pull your pants up!
A typical white racial slur. We shall overcome and justice will prevail. The officer will be hung.
I think J.J. is a troll on this blog.
Who is JJ?
White man calling a Black man a name. Racists will burn in hell. So will the cop in Missouri.
You guys do realize that your leg is being pulled?
9 white jurors and only 3 Blacks. Racism at it’s highest. This is about the death of an innocent young Black man. Also the DA’s mother was killed by a Black man. Prejudice at its finest. The Black man doesn’t have a chance in the white world. Hopefully Reverend Sharpton can keep hope alive.
jack jackson and deception are different sides of the same evil.
The virus that causes Ebola has more positives than do jack jackson – deception.
Jack Johnson, the only racist I see on this blog is YOU. Being black gives you no more right to be racist against whites than me being white gives me right to be racist against blacks. I grew up in Warren County and I was the minority. Yeah, that’s right. And I am glad to be from Warren County, as it made me the person I am today. I don’t see color whatsoever, I see spirit, heart, passion of life. I also understand the legal system. There are two totally different stories being told here in the Ferguson case. Until the investigation is over, it is totally IGNORANT to use hatred of race in slurring either side. If that officer is guilty, I will push for justice against him. But if he is innocent, slurring his name as a racist only makes you a racist. Let the justice system see its’ course before spewing hatred. What you may find in the end of this is a totally different truth than what you have convinced yourself as to what happened. But, of course, you will then say it’s still not the truth because white people made it up, lol. I hate racism. I hate it on both sides. So find some way to drop your racism mindset. Color doesn’t make people, their spirits, heart, and passion of life define who they are. And yours is evidently broken. I am terribly sorry that it all happened but the truth is the truth. It’s as simple as that. But we need to be wait to see what that truth is.
