Geriatric Aide is a new opportunity for local Nurse Aides (already listed on the N.C. Nurse Aide Registry) to gain advanced training in helping older adults. The course is focused on geriatric care with an emphasis on person-centered care concepts, hydration, nutrition, mental health, dementia, behavioral challenges, pain management, palliative care and stress management. The cost of this course is $200 plus applicable fees.
