NCDMV Closes Henderson License Plate Agency in Vance County Due to Violations

RALEIGH — The North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles today announced the immediate closing of its Henderson License Plate Agency (LPA) in Vance County due to violations of state criminal laws.

Located at 946-D West Andrews Avenue, this LPA was closed following an internal investigation of the office’s operations. The Division’s investigation determined inappropriate activities, including accounting irregularities, warranted the closure of the office and termination of its contract. The agency had been in operation since 1994.

NCDMV officials will perform a final inventory and audit of the agency, removing all supplies and equipment owned by the Division. Charges are pending as the investigation is ongoing.
