PLANT FOR POLLINATORS
The Pollinator Partnership is launching a new program called U.S. Bee Buffers. We are looking to partner with farmers, ranchers, land managers and land owners across North Carolina. We will provide the seed. The U.S. Bee Buffers website has more information: http://www.pollinator.org/beebuffer.htm
BEAR HARVEST DATA NEEDED
If you, or someone you know, harvests a black bear this year, please get in contact with the NC Wildlife Resources Commission. They would like to collect the first premolar from each harvested bear (and a little bit of data), especially those harvested in the Piedmont. If you harvest a bear, contact Kelly Douglas, Forest Stewardship Biologist, or you can get up with your local enforcement officer or district biologist.  Contact information for all are found at: http://www.ncwildlife.org/contacts.aspx#551692-h2division-contactsh2
