3 Arrested on Violent Crime and Heroin Charges


The Henderson Police Department Special Operations Unit and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives have arrested three more individuals on federal drug charges as the investigation into violent crime and heroin trafficking continues. The charges were handed down after a federal grand jury returned true bills of indictment on each individual.

Warren “Maintain” Small, 26, 604 High Street, Henderson was charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute a quantity of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of heroin; Three (3) counts of distribution of a quantity of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of heroin; and one count of distribution of a quantity of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of heroin- aiding and abetting.

Michael “White Mike” Allen, 28, 3829 Raleigh Road, Lot 9 Henderson was charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute a quantity of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of heroin; and two (2) counts of distribution of a quantity of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of heroin.

Cornelius “Bubba” Vandergrift, 28, 671 Highland Avenue, Henderson was charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute a quantity of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of heroin; distribution of a quantity of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of heroin; Two (2) counts of distribution of a quantity of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of heroin- aiding and abetting.

Each individual was placed into the custody of the United States Marshall pending hearings in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. The investigation into violent crime and heroin trafficking is ongoing and additional arrest are forthcoming.
