IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

 
 

  Flu vaccines will be administered to all interested school system employees and

  retirees from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, in the Board Room of the

  Administrative Services Center. Those participating should bring their insurance cards

  and their school ID badges or another form of identification.

 

 

 

  End of the nine-week grading period at middle schools on Monday, October 27.

 

 

SCHOOL EVENTS FOR THE WEEK

 
 

Southern Vance High: (Monday, October 20) – Student pictures taken. Leadership Team meeting at 3:30 p.m.

   
 

Western Vance High: (Monday, October 20) – School Improvement Team meeting at 3 p.m.

   
 

STEM Early High: (Monday, October 20) – Staff development session entitled, “Strategy for Hope,” at 3 p.m.

   
 

Southern Vance High: (Tuesday, October 21) – Selected students in the ninth, 10th and 11th grades visit the N.C. State Fair in Raleigh

   
 

Eaton-Johnson Middle: (Wednesday, October 22) – Eighth graders attend anti-bullying presentation in gym at 8:05 a.m.

   
 

Southern Vance High: (Wednesday, October 22) – Faculty meeting at 3:30 p.m.

   
 

Eaton-Johnson Middle: (Thursday, October 23) – Seventh graders attend anti-bullying presentation in gym at 8:05 a.m.

   
 

Southern Vance High: (Thursday, October 23) – Selected students in the 10th and 12th grades visit the N.C. State Fair in Raleigh. Presentations by representatives of the Peace Corps during each class period in the Drama Room.

   
 

Eaton-Johnson Middle  (Friday, October 24) – Sixth graders attend anti-bullying presentation in gym at 8:05 a.m.

Tuesday, November 4: Report cards distributed at Early College High

Wednesday, November 5: Report cards distributed at middle schools

Monday, November 10: Teacher workday, except at Early College High. No school for students.

Tuesday, November 11: Veteran’s Day holiday. All schools and school system offices are closed.

Northern Vance and Southern Vance Football Admission is $6.00.

Volleyball and Soccer Admission is $5.00. Admission for Tennis and Cross Country is free.

Eaton-Johnson and Henderson Middle Football Admission is $5.00.
