The satellite Atlas was launched from Cape Canaveral on this date in 1958. The spacecraft would make history the next day, beaming the first voice heard from space — a recording of President Eisenhower with a 58-word Christmas greeting. These words came at the height of the Cold War and the space race with the Soviet Union. Today, satellites daily perform vital functions — tracking the weather, relaying millions of telephone calls and computer links, as well as radio and television signals. Currently, there are around 1,200 active satellites in Earth orbit. Satellite telecommunications in the U.S. involves hundreds of establishments in a $4.5 billion a year business, and employs over 10,000 people. Just got back from Henderson and read the local paper. Just as I’ve said all along since the “COUNTY CROOK” got caught w/her hand in the cookie jar…..not 1 day behind bars!!! Watch & See.
I see 1 Murderer got sentenced to between 4-6 years for killing 2 people in the parking lot of a hotel. That’s 2-3 years for each person he shot down in the parking lot? Is that Justice? Where are the rioters and looters protesting the Justice? The Asst. Dist. Atty. commented that the ballistics weren’t able to be processed? My question if it were my relative who had been murdered would be WHY NOT?
With time served waiting to go to trial….this MURDERER will only be in State Prison for 2-4 years and w/good behavior he will be back in your neighborhood in 18-20 months. Wonder why people don’t mind robbing and killing? Here’s your example!!! Do you think if it were your son/daughter shot down in a parking lot you would be satisfied knowing the KILLER only got 4-6 years? That’s the District 9 Judicial System….the same one that the COUNTY CROOK will be “served justice” in!!
