White House MLK Day: Serving and Reflecting


Honoring the life of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., President Obama issued a proclamation commemorating today’s holiday, and encouraged all Americans to carry on Dr. King’s legacy through their own service.

This afternoon, the President and the First Lady took part in a community service project at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington, while the Vice President and other senior Administration officials participated in service projects across the country.
