This is the last weekend to shop at the Raleigh Flea Market before the N.C. State Fair

RALEIGH – Shoppers who enjoy searching for deals and unique products at the Raleigh Flee Market have one final weekend to shop before the market closes in preparation for the N.C. State Fair, which runs Oct. 15-25.

The flea market will operate Saturday, Sept. 26, and Sunday, Sept. 27, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. It will be closed until the weekend of Nov. 7.

Held each weekend at the N.C. State Fairgrounds except during the month of October, the Raleigh Flea Market is one of the largest markets of its kind in the Southeast. The market hosts hundreds of dealers, craftsmen and booths selling everything from antique sports equipment and toys, to furniture and handmade jewelry.

The market closes in October to give fairgrounds staff time to prepare for the 2015 State Fair. Visitors will also be able to buy advance ride and admission tickets at the flea market at a booth near the Administration Office at Gate 11. Advance tickets will also be on sale at the Gate 9 ticket booth and at the Southern Ideal Home Show in the Jim Graham Building.

In addition to the flea market, the fairgrounds will also host the following events this weekend:

  • Southern Ideal Home Show, Sept. 25-27, Graham Building Exposition Center
  • NCQHA Tar Heel Fall Classic Show, Sept. 25-27, Hunt Horse Complex
