Are you a farmer who wants to learn about innovative crops and production methods? Or someone who owns an acre or three of land and wants to make it more productive? Or simply someone who loves food and wants to know more about the farms where it’s produced?
If you fit into any of these categories, then the Warren County Farm Tour is the place to be. On October 17th participants will meet at the Warren County Extension Center at 8 am to load the bus for an exciting tour of four diverse farm operations right here in the community. Tour stops will include farms that range from tiny to large, featuring operations that specialize in mushrooms, beef cattle, grapes and agrotourism.
The tour will end with a catered lunch featuring locally grown farm products, and presentations from people who are trying to bring more locally grown products right to your dinner plate. Thanks to the support of AgCarolina Farm Credit, the cost is only $5 per person. For complete details, including registration information, visit http://go.ncsu.edu/WCFarmTour. Registration required and space is limited.
