College Application Week began Monday, November 2 for high school seniors in North Carolina.
During the week, many high school seniors will have the opportunity to apply to a wide variety of North Carolina colleges for free because the application fee will be waived.
N.C. College Application Week is a statewide event that encourages high school students to apply early to colleges and universities in North Carolina. During the week, all state community colleges and 31 independent colleges in the state are waiving the application fee for all students. The list of colleges includes N.C. Wesleyan College in Rocky Mount and nearby Barton and Louisburg Colleges.
Most state universities only are waiving the application fees of students with a demonstrated financial need during College Application Week. The applications must be received by 5 p.m. Friday in order to be eligible.
This event is co-sponsored by the College Foundation of North Carolina and the Carolinas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers. For more information, contact school guidance counselors or go to https://www1.cfnc.org/College_Application_Week/CAW_Seniors.aspx.
