Applications for current fifth graders to enroll in the STEM Early High School in Vance County Schools for the 2016-2017 school year are now available from counselors in local elementary schools.
The application also requires recommendations from two teachers at the student’s current school. These teacher recommendations are to be completed online.
There is a page in the application that must be completed by the student’s parent and the student also must explain in writing why they are interested in attending the school.
The deadline for receiving completed applications is March 3. All completed applications should be returned to the student’s elementary school counselor.
Students who apply will be notified by mail of their status (accepted, wait listed or denied) by April 4.
