Eaton-Johnson Middle School inducted nine students into the school’s chapter of the National Junior Honor Society during a special ceremony held on March 22.
Parents and other family members of the students were assembled in the school’s media center for the special recognition of these high academic achievers in the seventh and eighth grades.
Seventh graders inducted were Sarah Hayes, Andrew Tippett and Simone Webb. Eighth-grade students inducted in the ceremony included America Alfaro, Tamia Alston, Aryianna Dockery, Josiah Jones, Kristina Terry and Tyere Wiggins.
Current members of the National Junior Honor Society led the ceremony along with Ethel Hunter, an eighth-grade teacher who is the advisor for the chapter. Those members leading the ceremony were Danielle Hawkins, Daniella Decena-Santos and Akiyah Venable.
Principal Brad Jones also was on hand to recognize the nine inductees for their outstanding achievements. He assisted with presenting each inductee with a certificate and lapel pin.
