2016 4-H Summer Fun Schedule

Weekly day camps have been planned for school-aged children from Vance County beginning June 20th.  Week 1 is “Vance County, Let’s Move!” Week. 
Week 2 is “Kids in the Kitchen with EFNEP”
Week 3 is “Wild Woods and Waters Week”
Week 4 is “Little Green Thumbs”
Week 5 is “Vance County, 4-H Top Chef !”
Week 6 is “What’s Buzzing?”
Week 7 is “4-H Celebrates!”
To see the entire schedule including details and prices, visit our website at http://vance.ces.ncsu.edu/categories/4-h-youth-development/ .  To print Enrollment Forms, look down near the bottom of the page and print out all that are under  “Annual Enrollment Forms – Due October 1 each year”.   Or simply come to the Vance County Cooperative Extension office at 305 Young Street between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and get an enrollment packet and fill it out then.  The process, including free notarization of the health form, takes approximately 20 minutes.  A driver’s license for ID is needed.  Don’t Delay!
“Jamming With Extension”
May 10, 7-9 p.m. (date was changed from May 3)
Location: Vance County Cooperative Center, 305 Young Street, Henderson, NC
Cost: $10.00 Make checks payable to the Vance Co. Cooperative Extension Center.
Participants will learn how to make jam using the boiling bath method. “Couponing 101”

“Meal Planning:  What’s on Your Table Tonight”

Cost: FREE
Participants will learn how to stretch their food dollars by meal planning.
