NCDOT Converting Intersection in Granville County to All-Way Stop
The intersection of Huntsboro Road/Tabbs Creek Road and Salem Road in Oxford in northeastern Granville County to a permanent all-way stop on Wednesday, July 13, weather permitting. The intersection currently requires vehicles to stop in both directions on Huntsboro Road/Tabbs Creek Road, but traffic on Salem Road does not have to stop. Organic growers in North Carolina can apply for partial reimbursement of the cost of becoming certified or for recertification through a program offered by the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Governor Pat McCrory announced June 23 that the North Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority (RIA) approved 31 grant and loan requests totaling $10,433,899. Vance-Granville Community College has been awarded nearly $1 million as part of a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Labor to a consortium that involves three other North Carolina community colleges.
