RALEIGH — The North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles today announced the immediate closing of its Henderson License Plate Agency (LPA) in Vance County due to violations of state criminal laws.
Located at 946-D West Andrews Avenue, this LPA was closed following an internal investigation of the office’s operations. The Division’s investigation determined inappropriate activities, including accounting irregularities, warranted the closure of the office and termination of its contract. The agency had been in operation since 1994.
NCDMV officials will perform a final inventory and audit of the agency, removing all supplies and equipment owned by the Division. Charges are pending as the investigation is ongoing.
Agencies located in the area will continue to provide services. Please visit any of the following locations:
Louisburg – 808 South Bickett Boulevard, (919) 496-4655; Mon. – Fri., 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Oxford – 120 Roxboro Road, (919) 693-7821; Mon. – Fri., 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
LPAs offer vehicle registration services and title transactions, as well as vehicle license plate renewals, replacement tags and duplicate registrations. Currently, 121 license plate agencies operate across North Carolina.
This is totally ridiculous! Why have so many people turned to dishonesty? Has good conscience gone the way of good leadership?
LOL…….if only u could fix STUPID!! U folks can’t stay out of the news!! Wonder why no new industries & businesses come to Vance Co? As only Mr. Gump would say…”Stupid is as Stupid does”
So who owned the now closed license plate agency in Henderson? The article in the Disgrace is little more than a restatement of the message on the NC DMV’s own website.
Not surprised. Henderson continues on its down hill spiral due to lack of values and integrity. Heck, we could not even keep Sonic in town. At this rate Henderson will become a business ghost town in the near future. Wake up before its to late!!
