City passes resolution defining roles
During the Henderson City Council retreat held on Friday, March 6 – Saturday March 7, 2009 at Vance-Granville Community College, Faciliatator Becky Veazey conducted a session on roles, responsibilities, and expectations.

Annual school crime & violence report released
The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction released the the Consolidated Data Report, 2007-08 which contains the Annual Report of School Crime & Violence, the Annual Report of Suspensions & Expulsions, and the Annual Report of Dropout Rates.
Harrison elected to chair State Board of Ed.
