Members of the Henderson Police Department Criminal Investigations Division are currently investigating a breaking and entering that occurred at Garnes and Toney Funeral Home, 806 E. Andrews Ave, Henderson on October 16, 2012. During the breaking and entering, embalming fluid and an embalming machine were stolen. Division of Aviation Awards $2.25 Million to Henderson-Oxford Airport for Runway, Lighting Projects
RALEIGH — As part of the N.C. Department of Transportation’s ongoing commitment to improving aviation in North Carolina, the N.C. Division of Aviation awarded $2.25 million in State Aid to Airports funds to Henderson-Oxford Airport in Oxford for two capital improvement projects. The airport will extend the existing runway 500 feet to a total length of 5,502 feet. Funding also will allow the airport to paving and install lighting along the new runway extension.
