Seven educators in Vance County Schools have earned certification from the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) and two more local educators have obtained recertification. VGCC offers BioWork training program at night on Main Campus
Vance-Granville Community College has scheduled a “BioWork” Process Technician training course to prepare area residents for jobs in the growing biotechnology manufacturing field, starting in January on the college’s main campus in Vance County. On November 29, 2011 around 1:46 AM officers with the Henderson Police Department responded to the Hampton Inn, 382 Ruin Creek Road, Henderson in reference to an armed robbery that occurred. Henderson is giving city employees their first cost of living raise (COLA) since July of 2008.
