Henderson to appoint new city manager
In a press release received minutes ago from Acting City Clerk Beverly Jackson it was announced that the Henderson City Council will meet on Thursday, July 31, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in its chambers in City Hall for the purpose of appointing a new city manager. No other information is available at this time.

School supply donation drive
A School Supply Donation Drive sponsored by the Henderson-Vance Chamber of Commerce and the Vance County United Way Volunteer Center will be held on Friday, August 1 from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the front parking lot of Chick-fil-A.

Saint Augustine adult ed. program in Henderson
Saint Augustine College is encouraging everyone to come to their July 30 and 31 information session at Gateway Center in Downtown Henderson. The sessions start at 5:30 p.m., and the goal is to give an overview of the program, answer questions, and then breakout into groups for applications.
