Vance County Schools announces a new partnership with the North Carolina based Biodiesel 4 Schools program in an effort to collect used cooking oil from Vance County area restaurants and grocery stores.   This is Vance County School’s first partnership specifically designed to create a local, sustainable, agriculturally-based, bio-energy source. Union Bank honors founders with new VGCC Scholarship

Oxford-based Union Bank has established a new Vance-Granville Community College scholarship to pay tribute to the business and community leaders who founded the bank. The “Union Bank & Trust Founding Directors Academic Achievement Award” will be presented to a VGCC student for the first time in 2016.
