Vance-Granville Community College’s Board of Trustees adopted a resolution urging the North Carolina General Assembly to support the state’s community colleges with increased funding at the board’s bi-monthly meeting on Monday, March 16. On Wednesday, March 18, 2015, members of the Henderson Police Department Patrol Division responded to 111 S. Pinkston Street Apartment 18 in response to a domestic situation. The occupant, Jazminn Williams reported that her boyfriend had come to her apartment and kicked in her door. An argument ensued at which time Williams telephoned police. Work to Begin on East End Connector Project
Raleigh –N.C. Department of Transportation contractors will begin work this week on the East End Connector in Durham. Crews will begin clearing, grubbing and erosion control. This part of the project is not expected to have any traffic impacts.
