Granville Early College High School reported zero dropouts in 2010-11

Granville Early College High School, which is operated as a partnership between Granville County Schools and Vance-Granville Community College, was recently cited for its success in dropout prevention in reports from the North Carolina State Board of Education and the N.C. Vance-Granville Community College has announced that 292 students earned Dean’s List honors for the fall semester that ended in December 2011. Man Arrested for Theft of Cable Service

On Monday, February 27, 2012, Officer J. B. West of the Henderson Police Department investigated a complaint of a suspicious person behind apartment 25 in the Henderson Height Apartment complex.  West recognized the suspect as Terrance Arnold Alston.  A warrant check revealed that there was an outstanding order for arrest for failing to appear on a drug paraphernalia charge.  Alston was taken into custody.  Further investigation revealed that Alston was in possession of tools and materials that enable the illegal …
