VGCC offers Medical Terminology on Main Campus

Vance-Granville Community College is now registering students for Medical Terminology, the first of four courses required for the Medical Coding certificate program. Classes will be held on VGCC’s Main Campus on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6 until 9 p.m., Jan. 18 through May 7. The Terminology course is the introduction to the language of medicine. December 29th, a home on Lynnbank Road was broken into by Anthony Henderson Jr, 19 years old.  Anthony met a 14 year old resident unexpectedly as he came around the corner and the intruder received a shotgun blast to the chest.  He did not survive the wound.   17 year old resident and his sister hid in a bedroom and called 911.  Another man was sought, Andrew Terry, 23 years old as well, and he has been found and arrested.  …

The scam starts with a link in the user’s News Feed which claims that free tickets are available for Southwest Airlines. Division of Motor Vehicles has posted on its website two new driving logs that teen drivers will be required to complete under the state’s graduated licensing program beginning January 1, 2012. The logs are required by legislation passed by the General Assembly to increase behind-the-wheel experience for young drivers. Employee Theft Charge gets $70,000 Bond

On December 23, 2011 members of the Special Operations Division arrested Jessie Heatherly Jacobs, a W/F of 4042 Cannady Mill Road, Kittrell. Jacobs was charged with (7) seven counts of Uttering a Forged Instrument, (7) seven counts of Forgery of Instrument, and (7) seven counts of Larceny by Employee. The victim in this case is SERVPRO of Henderson. Jacobs has been placed in the Vance County Jail under a $70,000 bond and a court date of January 30th 2012.
