Vance-Granville Community College recently welcomed a nationally-known consultant and researcher in the field of student engagement and success. In January, Dr. Kay McClenney addressed a convocation of all VGCC faculty and staff. McClenney, a former community college educator and administrator herself, discussed the findings of research on what students need in order to be successful. Additional Closures and Traffic Shifts Coming to the I-85 Improvement Project in Vance and Warren Counties

A series of additional closures and shifts are scheduled to begin Monday, Feb. 1, for the Interstate 85 upgrade project in Vance and Warren counties. On Monday, Poplar Mount Road will close to allow for the construction of the I-85 North bridge over the road. On Wednesday, January 27, the College held its annual Scholar-Athletes Awards Program, honoring 139 student-athletes.The program was held in the Roger G. Taylor Athletic Center prior to the men’s basketball game against Wake Tech.
