Vance-Granville Community College recently welcomed a nationally-known consultant and researcher in the field of student engagement and success. In January, Dr. Kay McClenney addressed a convocation of all VGCC faculty and staff. McClenney, a former community college educator and administrator herself, discussed the findings of research on what students need in order to be successful. Vance-Granville Community College will soon offer its Mobile Food Truck Entrepreneurship Workshop Series in Warren County for the first time. This series of courses for entrepreneurs who want to compete in the growing food truck industry is unique in the North Carolina Community College System. Additional Closures and Traffic Shifts Coming to the I-85 Improvement Project in Vance and Warren Counties
A series of additional closures and shifts are scheduled to begin Monday, Feb. 1, for the Interstate 85 upgrade project in Vance and Warren counties. On Monday, Poplar Mount Road will close to allow for the construction of the I-85 North bridge over the road. Taylor Athletic Center prior to the men’s basketball game against Wake Tech.
